Micwel was a work in progress up until 2007, when it was established as an expert steel fabrication company. With several years of experience, Micwel Fabrications developed a keen interest in accurately manufacturing the needs of the customer. As a team, we will work with you to tailor to the needs of the structural projects and produce top-notch steel products. Our team consists of knowledgeable and versatile individuals that collaborate from paper to steel to ensure the quality of our work never declines. We use high quality steel that remains durable no matter the conditions of the environment. If needed, we finish our products with hot dip galvanizations to prevent rust build up and deterioration of the steel. We strive to ship out our products in a timely manner to prevent any hold ups from our end
Our Expert Team
Brashanth Thangarajah (aka Shawn)
Shawn Thangarajah, also known as Shawn, was born in Sri Lanka but raised in Canada. Shawn was motivated by the passion his father, Rajah, had with the steel industry. Shawn began his journey in the steel industry as a telecom erector. In 2006, while working, Shawn successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Account and Administrative Studies from York University. As a result, he was promoted to being the purchasing manager in the steel industry. With the knowledge and experience that Rajah transposed to Shawn at an early age, today, Shawn has 12+ successful years of experience in the telecom and steel industry, which is the foundation for the growth of Micwel Fabrication Limited. This family owned business begin with a solid foundation and grew to become a effective company in the industry. During the initial stage of Micwel Fabrication Limited, the company was limited to obtaining sub-contract work and residential fabrications, like fencing and railing. Now, it has grown to take up larger construction projects, communications projects and hardware supplies, with telecommunication as its main focus. Along with Shawn’s experience and educational success, Shawn ensured to obtain licensing in the steel industry and is a CWB certified Welding Supervisor. Shawn looks to always grow the company while complying to the laws to ensure that Micwel Fabrication Limited is known for its integrity. He can be found working diligently at Micwel on any given business day. Shawn enjoys spending his time off with his family, during his leisure time. However, the growth of the company is also significant to his personal achievements and supported by his family.

Thangarajah Kandiah, also known as Rajah, was born and raised in Sri Lanka, worked as a general laborer in the steel industry. In 1989, he moved to Canada, where he continued to pursue his career in the steel fabrication industry. His career, began as an ordinary welder, grew to be a shop supervisor for over 15 years and now, holds 40 successful solid years of experience in the steel fabrication industry. In 2007, Micwel Fabrication Limited was founded by Rajah’s passion and commitment, along with support from his son, Brashanth, also known as Shawn. Rajah is also an active Director of Micwel Fabrication Limited and is inspired with the development of the company. He has contributed enormously to the success of the company and continues to thrive in this active industry. As the Director, Rajah monitors the shop and ensures customer satisfaction is met. His passion for the company and the industry provides him with the strength and confidence to succeed even more. Along with the senior positions Rajah hold, he ensures that during his leisure times, he travels different places each year and gets inspired by the growth of the steel industry. In addition, he socializes to maintain networks and obtain new and growing opportunities to even advance Micwel Fabrication Limited.
